What is the movie rating scale?


The movie rating scale is as follows:
G-General Audiences- This is a good one for the family. This rating admits everyone and there are no nudity, sex, or drug use scenes.

PG-Parental Guidance Suggested- Some material may not be suitable for children. While parents should always attend the movie theatre with their children, viewing at home in some cases can be done by the children themselves.

PG13-Parents are Strongly Cautioned- Some material my not be suitable for children under the age of 13. Some of these films carry with them some language, violence, nudity and other adult content not meant for those under 13years.

R-Restricted- Children under 17 are required to be with a parent or adult guardian. These films are usaully persistant with violence, sexually-oriented nuvity, drug abuse, and strong language.

NC17-Persons under the age of 17 not admitted. Content of these films usually surpass even the R rated movies. Action movies for the most part usually don't get a higher rating than R.
